About this episode
Today we're talking about exercise and sex. Wow, that sounds like a weird combination, doesn't it? What in the world do those two things have to do with each other?
As it turns out, quite a bit. The benefits of regular exercise and physical activity for women are tremendous, and they include benefits for improving your sex life. Yes, that's right. Today we're going to make the case that exercising regularly is not only great for your health, it's great for sex and intimacy in your marriage. We'll be talking about four areas in which it can make a difference, including your physical health, mental health, body image, and energy.
From the Bible
The Bible doesn't say much directly about the value of exercise, but it alludes to the importance of caring for our bodies and keeping them strong.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20New International Version (NIV) - Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Proverbs 31:17 (NIV) - She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
