Summary

90 Day Clubhouse Kickstart Program- https://ericrobertsfitness.com/clubhouse-page.html On today's episode I break down food noise — that constant mental chatter about food that makes sticking to your diet feel impossible — and why it has nothing to do with your willpower. I walk through eight specific reasons your food noise gets loud, from skipping protein early in the day and slashing your calories too low, to keeping trigger foods in the house and never building a consistent eating routine. I also give my honest, no-drama take on GLP-1s and peptides — what they actually do, who they're really for, and why they don't replace the habits you need to build either way. If you constantly think about food, even when you just get done eating a meal and you're

0:06.9

constantly thinking about the next time you're going to eat, that is food noise. And after

0:13.1

coaching over 25,000 clients with their fat loss, this is one of the biggest reasons people

0:19.1

can't stick to their diet. It's not their willpower. So by the one of the biggest reasons people can't stick to their diet.

0:21.8

It's not their willpower.

So by the end of this video, you will know the real reasons that food noise gets loud and the exact strategies you can implement starting today to quiet it down, including if a GLP1 or a peptide is right for you to take.

0:44.9

But before we get into that, the first reason that food noise gets loud is because, like you may have heard before,

0:52.2

you're not eating enough protein, especially you're not

0:56.7

eating it early in the day. Most people will do something like skip breakfast and just have

1:02.6

coffee, or they'll have two hard-boiled eggs, or they'll have a bagel, croissant, cereal,

1:09.5

and the real nutrient-dense protein doesn't come until lunch or maybe even

1:17.2

dinner. And the issue with this is your blood sugar spikes and crashes and that food noise

1:25.3

gets very loud the entire day, all because you didn't start and anchor your day

1:34.1

with a high protein meal.

1:37.3

So an analogy I like to use for this is either skipping breakfast or just having carbs for breakfast is like throwing paper on a fire.

1:48.5

It's a big flame and it's gone in two minutes and you're cold again.

1:53.3

Protein is the log that actually keeps you warm for the duration, a longer duration of time. So what would be the fix to this?

2:05.8

Getting 25 to 40 grams of protein before 10 a.m. And I hear the questions now. Eric, what if I am doing

2:15.4

intermittent fasting? Should I do fasting?

2:17.7

I like to skip breakfast after coaching over 25,000 clients.

2:22.2

If you struggle with food noise, and especially if you struggle with food noise where you're

2:27.4

constantly snacking all day or you always end up getting cravings and hunger and
