I just wrote an Instagram post titled You Don't Own Your Relationship and I wanted to expand on that because I think it's important and it's a common theme that I find when I'm coaching people with their relationships.

Also, it's 6 a.m. and this is my morning voice, as you can hear, very groggy.

So, and there's also a garbage truck outside making tons of noise so I'm trying

to accept not trying to control the universe and these are the things that are happening and this is the situation

Okay, so I have a tattoo on my right forearm that says resist nothing and I tried to live by

it's extremely difficult. It's a giant tattoo and I remember that when I first got it you know tattoos are

really shiny I went straight from a the tattoo parlor to a party and it was one of my first tattoos and I didn't really think about it

you know how it would show up and it was so shiny and so just like alarming, right?

Resist nothing on your forearm bright and like it's wet.

Wetting.

I remember people were like stunned all my friends and they were like oh you got a tattoo it's like you know when you get a really bad haircut and people

are like you got a haircut but they just

announce that you got a haircut but they don't tell you anything else about it I got a

lot of that at that party and I remember coming home thinking what the fuck did I do? And I remember regretting it. But over the years,

it has faded and the Fontas American typewriter matches, you know, me and my writing so

Now I've actually come full circle. I love it and

I also now get a lot of compliments on it and anyway
