I had been living in New York and working there as an actor and director and choreographer for 25 years or so and I really felt I needed a change.

I imagined in my fantasy, I suppose, that when I came here, I would have a completely different life.

Perhaps a construction worker or one of those guys that works on those high wire things that with the hard hat,

you know, that sweeping sort of hat and with the chaps.

I am your host, Luke Burbank. As we learned yesterday, today is episode 900 in a collector's series.

We made it people. A lot of people thought we would. You know who's sitting over there?

How are you doing? I'm super excited that we're about to go on our vacation, but it's also kind of, you know.

No, it's not. Do you feel like you have to say that?

I think that in, I think not very many days will pass when I will feel like T-B-T-L-ish.

I would advise you not to scratch it.

Maybe do some cream on it. Yes, don't pick at that. Just like Nightly and his sutures.

No, because if you are on your vacation and you start reading the listener emails and start worrying about their problems and getting into these correspondences with them, I think it's going to make your trip feel like work.

So don't do that. And I am perfectly happy to live by the same rules that I've been living by for 900 shows of not reading the emails.

I will be spending today, my afternoon today, figuring out how to make an auto reply.

Because I realize that if I'm not going to answer emails for five days, I need to have an auto reply, but I just haven't ever made one before.

Yeah, I've, I've got a lot of grief about that auto reply. I don't know. Before I had one that was more involved and people thought that was kind of disrespectful.

So then I made it really just brief saying, thanks for emailing me. I'm not really great about getting back to people and then people would take issue with that.

I think it's that it annoyed people and it annoys people sometimes if they email me and they get an auto reply.

And there's really nothing you can put on there that will make them not annoyed. So free yourself, free your mind also from worrying about that.
