Summary

Dakotah Lindwurm is one of the most beloved runners of our time. It’s been so incredible to watch her grow in her career over the last several years. Seeing her make her first Olympic team in 2024 was something we all celebrated.

Dakotah placed 12th at the Olympics in Paris in the marathon and continues to compete with as much enthusiasm as she did all those years ago when she bet on herself and gave being a professional runner a shot. Her journey to becoming an Olympian is a bit unconventional. She ran at a DII school, wasn’t recruited to run pro but applied for a grant and started training hard.

She placed 36th at the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials – making quite the jump in 2024 to 3rd. Over the years she’s won the Grandma’s Marathon twice and has a marathon PR of 2:24:40 which she ran at the 2023 Chicago Marathon. So much to celebrate and so much to look forward to!

Thank you to the Bayshore Marathon and The Traverse City Track Club for having both Dakotah and I out for this event! It was so special to be a part of it for the second year!
