I am Sheila Ray Greguer from the to Love Honor and Vacuum Block and this week we are going to be talking about post-partum sex, how to regain intimacy even after you've had a baby and when recovery can take a little bit longer than usual.

You know, I have had three babies in my life and my recovery period was different for each one.

With Rebecca, who was my first that I gave birth to, I had a lot of tearing, I had a third degree tear,

I couldn't walk for about six to seven weeks, and it was just really difficult getting back into intimacy, just getting back into normal life.

With Christopher, who was our middle child who passed away from a heart defect, he was much smaller

I believe I actually walked home from the hospital. In fact, he was much smaller when he was born.

So I was doing really well after him,

and I didn't have any problems healing up postpartum at all.

And then Katie was my biggest child.

And yet my recovery with her was actually easier than with Rebecca and by the time I was six weeks post-partum with her

I really felt pretty much normal so all of that is to say that post-partum recovery is different.
