we're going to go into kind of a controversial topic.

I can ask by a lot of people, what does it actually mean

that the guy is the head of the house?

Like what does headship mean and what is real masculinity?

Like what is it that God is calling guys to because I'm really confused?

And so I want to tackle this today. It's going to be quite the ride, so buckle up your seatbelts.

All right. What is the doctrine of Hedship?

Well, the word Hedges not actually in the the new testament but it is a huge doctrine.

You know what else isn't in the new testament?

Head of the household.

That's right.

Head of the household does not appear in scripture, even though we hear that all the time, right?

The guy is the head of the household.

The Bible does say that the man is the head of the woman, and we're going to talk about that more but I

want to just deal with his head of the household thing and get it out of the way

first because this is a big misnomer that we need to stop saying because it's not in scripture because when we say that

the man is the head of the household it kind of makes it sound like he has the

authority over the kids that the mom doesn't have. Like he is the big poo-baw, the grand

poo-baw that's in charge and then she's under him and she kind of does what he

says and then the kids might listen to the mom but in doing so they're
