0:15.9	Welcome to the To Love Honor and Vac vacuum podcast. I'm Sheila from the to love honor and vacuum blog where we like to talk about how to make marriage less of a to do list

0:36.9	loneliness and connection in a different way and it's a missing piece that I've
0:42.1	been finding in all the talk about the shooting sprees and so I would like to take us on a little bit of a journey that hopefully is going to get somewhere with the destination.
0:51.0	So let me jump in and say that I'm sad. I am actually sad today and there's a whole
0:58.0	bunch of reasons for that on a personal level. As I'm recording this it's Tuesday August 6th, the day that would have been my son's 23rd birthday.
1:06.5	And I was thinking, this is the birthday that no one celebrates.
1:10.4	And that's just a weird place to be when you're missing someone that that should be here and yet at the same time
1:16.1	You feel grateful for the family that you do have and so it's this kind of it's this very strange dynamic where I love the kids I have but I still miss the one that I lost
1:26.3	So that got me down and because it was his birthday and we had a long weekend in Canada. I took some time to myself this weekend and I
1:34.2	ended up watching some movies that were depressing. I watched a movie of
1:37.7	someone dying of cancer like why do I do these things? And then the news of
1:41.7	the shootings broke and yeah I just kind of felt like the
1:45.9	weight of the world was coming down on me. But as I was processing and talking to other
1:52.2	people about these shootings and just
1:54.8	reading some different things online a whole bunch of things coalesced and I would like
1:58.8	to share those with you and not all of these are profound by the. I just want to share with you some of my thinking
2:04.4	processes which is going to get us to where we're going. So here is Exhibit A. I watched the movie Otherhood on Netflix. It's not amazing. It's not something I would
