In the year 1621, the pilgrims held their first Thanksgiving feast.

They invited the great Indian chief, Masasoi, who brought 90 of his brave Indians and a

great abundance of food.

Governor William Bradford and Captain Miles Tandish were honored guests.

Elder William Brewster, who was an minister, said a prayer that went something like this.

We thank God for our homes and our food and our safety in a new land.

We thank God for the opportunity to create a new world for freedom and justice.

Amen.

I feel, I hear this and I can almost smell the, all the food, cooking in the kitchen at

my parents' house.

I can already imagine the Dallas Cowboys are getting blown out on the TV or maybe we're

still in the watching the Macy's Day Parade and making fun of the floats phase of the

day.

Or we could be mid Burbank Family Fun Run.
