What has changed for me now is that I really feel like I do have a responsibility to do something

in the world, but it has nothing to do with making a mark. I really would like to leave a legacy

of having done something in the world that lifts other people, that makes

other people's lives easier in even the smallest way than I have felt like my life has been.

A few months ago, I discovered the NPR Wild Card podcast, and I have been binging it ever since.

So then I started sending you episodes as well

because we're pals and I'm like, oh, you might really like this one with John Green, the author.

I know you like him. I like him. Oh, make sure you listen to Jason Reynolds. You like him.

Right. So before you knew it, you had been listening a lot and then you had the fabulous idea of doing this as a way to get even more voices on the pod.

And I was like, yes, Susan, brilliant, brilliant idea in the middle of winter.

Wish that I had thought of it myself.
