Today's episode is a little bit different.

I decided to hit the pause button on my Friday fun episodes because there's something

more important that we need to be talking about.

This is episode 248 and it's dedicated to Amad Arbery.

Amad was a black man who was out for a run and was shot down and killed by two white men.

This happened on February 23rd in Georgia and up until today, this evening in fact, the

two men who shot Amad had not been arrested.

So when I recorded this conversation earlier today, the arrest had not been made yet or

at least it was not made public yet.

So my friend Chris Turner who you get to know in this episode and I talk as if the arrest

had not been made yet because we recorded it before that happened.

This episode is in honor of Amad but it's also a space where we can talk about the greater

issue of racial injustice in this country.

How this conversation came about, I posted on social media about Amad earlier this morning

and Chris responded to my message.

And then we got to talking through a direct message on my Facebook page and I thought, you

know what, people need to hear from Chris.
