Today you're listening to Episode 245 and I'm talking with Jordan Hasey.

Jordan has been on the show two other times.

Jordan is an incredibly accomplished marathoner and runner.

She debuted the marathon in a time of 223 in the 2017 Boston Marathon, faster than any American woman ever by three minutes.

She followed that up with a 2257 in Chicago the following fall, placing third.

And in 2019 she placed third at the Boston Marathon.

And I have an episode with her that was right after that race as well.

Now a lot of people would have said that Jordan was one of the favorites going into this race had she been healthy going into the race.

And so that field was just so deep we didn't know what was going to happen with any of the women running.

But Jordan was definitely one to be watching and she had the fastest seated time going into the race.

Jordan did not have the race that she hoped she would have had.

She came in placing 26 and as a fan of the sport and a spectator I was so proud of her for finishing that race.

She was wearing classic Lakers colors in honor of the late Kobe Bryant.

And we talk about that in this episode what that meant to her and why she chose to wear that outfit and how Kobe has inspired her throughout the years.

We also get to talk a little bit about how she's doing how she's feeling.

A lot of people probably know and have been following she last year left the Nike organ project and was separated from her coach her long time coach Alberto Salzar.
