I'm your host Lindsay, thank you so much for being here today.

Today we're listening to episode 180 and I'm talking with Grayson Murphy.

She runs for NAZ Elite and she is a brand new professional runner.

She's just finishing up her first year professional running.

She has a pretty unique story.

She actually played soccer, which I know a lot of runners played soccer growing up right.

But she played soccer all the way through her freshman year of college and ended up walking

onto the cross country team when she transferred schools as a sophomore.

So the crazy thing is is she finished 53rd place at her first NCAA cross country championships

in 2016 and then finished 8th place one year later.

She's a five time all-american and she's just ramping up her professional career.

The crazy thing is is she's only been running for five years.

So this is just still really new to her and she's learning a lot and will be growing in

the sport so much in these coming years.

You know a lot of the people she's competing against have been competing their entire

lives.

They've been running around the track and competing for years and so it's pretty cool

to see her compete at such a high level being so new to the sport still.
