| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody, welcome to all have another podcast with Lindsay Heine. I'm your host Lindsay. Thank you so much for being here today. Today you're listening to episode 178 and I'm talking with Jordan Hasey. |
| 0:27.0 | This is Jordan's second time on the podcast. She recently placed third at the Boston Marathon being the top American female to cross the finish line and I am so pumped for her. Jordan has recently taken 18 months off of racing. |
| 0:46.0 | She was teed up to run Boston last year and then Chicago and had two different stress fractures. So she had to sit on the sidelines all of 2018. Needless to say this race was a long time coming for her and I'm super proud and excited for what's in store for her career and just the fact that she could get out there on such a short training block and make that day happen for herself. |
| 1:09.0 | She ran at 225. This was her third marathon. She ran Boston in 2017 and placed third. She ran Chicago in 2017 and placed third. Had to sit out in 2018 and now she's back with another third place podium finish. So she's recently announced that she is running Chicago this fall and she'll tell you straight out the gate that she wants that American record and she wants to win. |
| 1:33.0 | She's also excited about competing for the spot on the 2020 team to race in Tokyo. So lots to talk about here with Jordan. We talk a lot about Boston, her training, what it's like coming back from that injury and what her future goals are. |
| 1:48.0 | Also, Jordan was kind enough to stay on the line for an extra 15 minutes for Patreon. So if you support this show over on Patreon, you can get 15 bonus minutes with Jordan. |
| 2:00.0 | In that part of the conversation, we talk about what her favorite things about having Alberto as a co-char. We also talk about so many other pieces of training and just life in general. |
| 2:11.0 | I always love the Patreon piece because though I feel like all my conversations are pretty lighthearted and loose and even though we get into some deep stuff, the conversations are pretty casual. |
| 2:21.0 | I feel like Patreon is even more so casual and it's just really fun to get that extra bit of conversation. If you do support the show on Patreon there, I also just released a post-Boston episode with my husband Glenn. We released that last weekend. |
| 2:36.0 | Glenn and I hash out Boston, both of our thoughts on the race, the weekend and what's next. So if you want to support this show, you can go to patreon.com slash Lindsay Heine. |
| 2:50.0 | For as little as $5 a month, you get access to bonus episodes like that. Anyway, I hope you guys are loving this content. I'm really loving recording the conversations and really thankful you're all here. |

| 3:22.0 | Things I'm just really excited. It was yes, like you said, just a long layoff for a whole year having to miss both two marathon with a fraction my foot. |
| 3:36.0 | And when I first started training for Boston this year, I really just wanted to get to the start line and I didn't really know if I could kind of get back to the level that I was at. |
| 3:47.0 | So I just feel really grateful in the time that I had to have done so well. And now I'm just really honestly just like looking forward to the next goal and the whole year ahead and hopefully you can just stay healthy. |
| 4:01.0 | Can we laugh about this really quick? I love that I emailed you before Boston and then after Boston. |

| 4:11.0 | Yeah, I'm so sorry, but I was just I was trying to stay really focused and just you know how it is before we just get extra get extra rest and get all my treatments and that's one of the things I've just been trying to stay on top of throughout this build up just really making sure I take it. |
| 4:30.0 | All the little things and yeah, just struggling everything family friends and that sort of stuff when you get down to the race day. |
