Hey there guys, it's Luke. Welcome to this Tuesday afternoon edition of the show. We

are going to get started in a moment here. This is going to be episode 1,680.

Three in a collector series. Once again coming to you from Portland or again I'm at

the hotel Deluxe. Just a couple of hours away from recording our big season

premiere of the other radio show that I work on called Live Wire. As I mentioned

yesterday we are the entertainment tonight for a conference of people who are

the bosses of public radio stations and so the hope is that we will just be

totally baffo sacco and that everybody will want to put us on the radio

station but then the other side of that coin is that if we aren't good then you

know will be disbarred from the the League of Public Radio shows or something. I

don't think either one of those things will happen but I'm still slightly in the

stress zone and because of getting ready for that thing that's happening

tonight we're gonna actually play you a taped episode of TVTL from the TVTL

archives. I thought it would be apropos if we played you something from this

Live Wire show and maybe if I reminded myself of a time when it actually went

okay and one of those times was when we had Fred Armasson on the show. Now I'll

be honest with you when I was getting this tape together I actually listen

back to it for the first time even though I did this interview with Fred Armasson

I never actually heard how it turned out and it's a weird thing when you're on

stage talking to somebody especially somebody who you really admire like a

Fred Armasson it's almost a little bit of an out-of-body thing like I

remember thinking he was really fun to talk to but actually listening back to
