Hey guys, my name is John Kim. I'm a licensed therapist and life coach putting

self betterment into a shot class because let's face it who's got that much time

these days. I come unpolished, unrehearsed, on purpose.

So I am in a hotel room about an hour outside of San Francisco. I've been on the road for about 12 days driving from LA to Seattle and now headed back down. It's the most I've ever driven

in my life. I'm on my book tour, but I'm also colliding with real people and I've always wanted to meet people who fall from the sky, meaning the internet,

and actually like roll up in their living rooms and have conversations and so that's what I'm doing.

So it's been really amazing to not only, you know, facilitate groups and create conversations in bookstores but also meet people in their homes.

And I'm now on my way down and I want to talk to you about Valentine's Day.

I'm doing this episode in my hotel room because I want to get this out

before Valentine's Day comes.

But I do want to share one revelation,

so I'll probably do another podcast episode about the entire trip,

but one thing that I'm learning is as I'm coming home,

the anxiety and the worry and all of that that comes with coming home

and getting back into the grind, etc. and not being present right and so I I'm I guess the revelation is

I'm learning the power of that and how that can disconnect us and create anxiety and tense

shoulders and man it's so powerful and I don't know where you're at or what you're doing but another reminder to

just and I know you hear them all the time but you know you can't hear this enough to to present, to refuse to live in a time machine, to refuse to worry and stress

and all the things you need to do. Of course I get there's logic and there's planning to actually

survive in this world but to be fully engaged in what's happening here and now. And so that's what I've been trying to do and I've been doing a really good job
