And we had a reader question recently that was really interesting.

There was this phenomenon we'd never actually thought about before.

But I thought about it, but we haven't talked about it.

Right.

I have talked about the friends.

Other people are talking about this.

Okay, but basically she wrote in and she said,

how do you handle a marriage where you never really consented?

Because you were raised in a church community that told you that you needed to get married.

That was your goal. and the only thing that

mattered was that the person that you married was following Christ, and you were systematically

taught to disregard your own feelings and into ignore red flags.

And then you find yourself 10 years later married to this person

when you've never really consented

because you didn't know what you were getting into

and you didn't know you could say no.
