men's focus on our Start Your Engines podcast I have my husband Keith here with me

Hey everybody and we're gonna get into some kind of deep theological stuff today.

But before we do that, a couple of quick things.

First of all, last week we had a really interesting podcast.

It had some very funny moments and some very infuriating moments.

Connor was dissecting one of Emerson Eggrich's

podcasts for us that he did a few years ago

where he was reading a letter from a woman who wrote in saying that she was crying in the shower

before sex every single time and she would initiate every three days and it was basically a coercive,

what she was explaining, describing was a coercive sexual encounter because if she didn't have sex he would treat her badly.

But instead of picking up on that, Eggrich said that nothing was wasted and as long as she wasn't being crucified or tortured,

God was very happy with her obedience and praised her for being a gold mine of a wife.

And we found this rather disturbing. There were some humorous elements regarding things

that Emerson Eggers didn't understand about arousal,

and Rebecca and I will be talking about some of that next week.

But we did want to just give, before we get to the meet of today's

podcast, I just want to give a quick update because I've had a number of people ask.

We actually heard from that woman.

So she wrote me, the woman who wrote the original email who was crying in the shower.
