And today is a kind of a special day. I am joined

today by my husband Keith. Hello everyone and my son-in-law Connor. Hello everyone.

And yesterday was Rebecca's birthday, so that was special.

But the thing about Becky's birthday is that it falls right around the time

that three years ago everything changed.

Yeah. Because three years ago, third week of January on a Monday,

we ran our first post about love and respect.

That was when I first read a harmful Christian book and I kind of freaked out and I thought

oh my goodness what are we doing?

Maybe this is why people have been having so many problems with sex

and marriage because up until then I hadn't known that there were these harmful

teachings out there hadn't read the books and so I didn't realize what was being

done.

We did that series on love and respect.

It blew up.

We ended up getting so many emails from women who had been,

who had felt abused after reading that book and how it had enabled abuse in their marriage.

We've collected over a thousand of those stories.
