Well here it is, we made it to a Friday afternoon edition of TVTL, the show that just

of beautiful and freezing cold Lake Michigan.

Today on the program, because I'm in Chicago, because last night I recorded the wait-wait-don't-tell-me,

which I'd like to tell you how it went, but I'm legally bound to keep it a mystery, so

get to one of our very good friends today, a guy Chris Hayes, who's, well, he's one hell

of a smart guy.

If you've watched MSNBC, I'm sure you've seen his show up with Chris Hayes, which I'll

be on this weekend, just part of why we thought this was an appropriate thing to bring you

on this Friday.

He's also written a book called Twilight of the Elites, a really interesting look at the

sort of idea of meritocracy in this country.

And not too long ago, Chris Hayes was in Seattle.

He was promoting his book, and he stopped by Burbank Studios.

We poured ourselves a couple of drinks, and we sat down, and we had this chat.
