Cynthia. As the title of our episode suggests it's kind of a big deal

Yeah the ultimate big deal that's what we're calling this episode and we're calling it the ultimate big deal because we're going to be

talking about the temple today and to introduce this topic Susan has something to

say about it so go ahead I'll just turn it to you

yeah actually I wanted to be sure that I get it right on this topic I wanted to be sure

that I introduce it in a way that's going to set us up for you know know, precisely the conversation that we want to have.

I decided I just kick it off by reading some excerpts from a piece that I wrote for the

exponent blog, I don't know, a year or so ago.

And so I want to start with that, and then hopefully our listeners will have some idea

of exactly what we want to talk about today.

Yeah, let's do it.

I taught a Relief Society lesson recently on the importance of temples and temple work.

Usually, I can figure out a way to approach a topic that I feel good about, but in this case, I came up against a wall of hypocrisy so high I couldn't see any way over or around it.

I always pray before I prepare a lesson. These prayers usually help and in this case did,

although the answer wasn't really what I was hoping for or expecting.
