Today we are joined by one of our favorite thinkers and speakers,

Geraldie Wrenshaw. Hi, Geraldie. Hi, Cynthia and Susan. Happy to have you back on the podcast.

The reason that we invited Geraldie today is because she is someone who has done a lot of thinking,

writing, and speaking about our particular topic.

And so we couldn't think of anyone better really to introduce this subject and to sort of guide a discussion on it that we hope will be useful.

The title of our episode today is Women on the Edge of Inside.

I kind of wanted it to just be women on the edge because it really resonated

for me. Those last two words of inside are really important and they really get at the heart

of what we want to talk about today.

If you're not familiar with the phrase being on the edge of inside, I think that you may be surprised

to find how much it might resonate for you, even if you've never heard it before.

In my experience, a lot of people consider themselves to be in this space once they know that you know it is a thing that exists even though they'd never

really thought about it before they hadn't identified it until they heard it and

then they hear something hugely resonant in it and say, hey, that's me.

So we want to talk a little bit about what

being on the edge of inside is about what that feels like,

how it affects our church interactions,

and specifically what it might mean for women that might be different
