Today we are going to have part two of our

discussion about uncrossed bridges so let's jump right back into it. Okay. So we have another myth. We just had two myths we want to go

over today. So the first myth was that you know women who would like to be have

more responsibility or just power hungry.

And our second myth is that men and women just have different responsibilities within the

church.

So very often when I talk to other women, you know, when I try to say you know I think women should be represented here there and they say I'm actually okay with having a division of labor within the church I'm okay with having different responsibilities to which I say well actually we have a

lack of responsibility and we've kind of already touched on this a little bit but young men

boys children they are ordained at the age of 11 now, and they play a vital role on Sundays,

passing the sacrament, preparing the sacrament.

And I think it's a fantastic way to help young boys feel invested in that they're needed, you know, as part of the work for our Sabbath services,

but we don't have an equivalent ward responsibility for young girls.

There is nothing that we give to 11- old girls on award level that shows that they are needed.

They are a needed part of the work and I don't remember being one of those girls.

I don't know, you'll have to tell me if you were but I've had girlfriends tell me

that there one friend in particular she said by the time her daughter was three she

would see the boys passing the sacrament trays and say when and she said when do I get to do

that mommy and she was
