I'm your host Susan Hinckly and I'm here today with my good friend Cynthia

winward. Hi Cynthia. Hey Susan how are you today? I'm good I'm good I'm happy to

be recording today. Me too. I'm excited for the conversation that we're going to have.

It's something that you and I have discussed a lot in the time that we've been friends.

And I think that it comes up for us because we both have daughters.

Yes. And so that's part of why we've discussed it.

The title of our episode today is Uncrossed Bridges.

Mm-hmm.

And you and I have talked a lot about bridge building, but bridge building is a term that gets used a lot kind of in online Mormon spaces in particular, where you and I both hang out, so we see it discussed there.

But when you and I talk about bridge building, we're really talking about something a little bit different.

We're talking about something that we have each experienced with our own daughters.

And your daughters are younger than mine.

Yours are in high school and college.

My daughters are a bit older. They're in their 30s, all of them, and so they're into having

children and into their careers already. But there are some things I think about raising

daughters in the church that remain common between us even

though you know I was doing it maybe 10 or 20 years before you were.

I agree.

We've had some common some common threads there. My

daughters are I have one daughter who is still active in the church. I have two
