Hello and welcome to today's podcast.

I am Cynthia Wynnward.

I am here with Susan Hinckley today.

How are you Susan?

Hi Cynthia, I'm great. I'm really excited about our conversation today.

Today we're going to be joined my my youngest daughter, Hannah Hinckley.

She's a great tell her of stories. She's a lot of fun. But the reason I wanted to

have her on the podcast today is because many of her church experiences seem to get right at

the heart of what the larger discussion is that I'm hoping we can have.

Today the name of the podcast is, men don't have a giant church bag.

But what that's about is the different ways that men and women might be experiencing the church

because I do believe that there are profound differences in that.

I have a lot of thoughts about this and so I wrote some of them down in hopes of

of framing the larger discussion and I want to share that first and then we're

going to invite Hannah in and hear some of her stories.

As I've gotten older, the understanding that we often see and experience the same things differently has changed the way I interact with others.

In my social life, my family life, and of course my church life,

it's helped grow my empathy and tolerance and has enabled me to see a few things that have

always rubbed me wrong with a bit more patience. Growing up in the

church I could sense at a very young age that the boys in the room were having a

different experience than I was. I noticed some things that bothered me didn't seem to bother them at all.
