Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast.

0:04.6

This is going to be all about how you can turn your life around in 30 days.

0:10.2

And this was inspired by a conversation that I had with someone who had basically talked themselves out of changing and partly because they thought it was going to take so long to ever feel a

0:24.1

different way or to get out of the kind of negative space that they were in at the moment.

0:28.6

And I'm not being dramatic here. You can absolutely turn your whole life around in 30 days.

0:35.2

And in fact, you can likely do it in less than that, but I found that 30 days is

0:39.6

like a bit of a sweet spot. It's not too long of a commitment that it seems huge and that you

0:46.2

overthink things and that you delay starting, but it's long enough that you actually see results

0:52.5

and feel different within that time frame.

0:55.7

And I have this rule that I stick to myself, which is that I'm not allowed to give up on

1:00.5

anything unless I've stuck to it for 30 days. And I do this in business. I do this in like

1:06.2

things I'm testing out for myself, whether it's like ways of being more productive or sleeping or building

1:11.9

muscle or training plans or anything. Like if you're only willing to commit to it for a week and then

1:17.1

you decide, oh, it's not worked for me. You really don't know if it's worked for you or not. So I call this

1:23.3

process 30 HD. It stands for 30 days, head down. And I often use it with clients who

1:31.6

obsess over the scales and let fluctuations ruin their progress by their reaction to the

1:38.2

scale weight fluctuation, which might seem quite niche, but honestly, I'd say that potentially up to like 80 to 90% of women with

1:47.2

fat loss goals do that to some extent. And I would say at least half, do it to the extent that it's

1:53.9

actually the reason that they don't get results. So for example, you're sticking to your targets,

2:00.1

you're losing fat, but let's say it's the week

2:03.1

before your period and you weigh three pounds more, which is completely normal. Now, even if you

2:10.5

lose a pound of fat that week, you will still weigh more on the scales. And some people find that so hard to get their head around
