This episode is all about maintenance and before people switch off they're like,

boring, I want to know about fat loss or I want to know about muscle building or whatever it is.

Maintenance is the ultimate successful diet, right? Every diet, every

successful diet ends with maintenance and that's why it's so, so, so important.

And people are usually so fixated on losing weight that they don't think about the

ultimate goal which is to maintain weight loss. This is by far the most

important part. There is no point losing weight if you are then just going to regain it

and then have to lose it again. It is much better to do it once and then learn how to maintain it right but it's another

context there's no point making loads of money and then going bankrupt

again and again having to remake the whole business again or however you made

that money much better to learn how to manage your money or manage your body so

that you can actually maintain all of the hard work that you've put into

that. This requires changing your life. If you see this or your next diet as like a six to

eight week thing, if you see your diet as a short-term commitment, then you will always revert back

to the previous habits and then regain your weight.

Think of it like this. Your body is, or your body composition is the result of your habits around diet, exercise and activity.

So if you don't maintain those habits, you will not maintain that body.

And if you ask people, if you ask most people what they think a successful diet is,

they usually will tell you, oh, it's losing this amount of weight, or it's achieving this certain weight for me,

or it's dropping extra dress sizes. It's not. Maintenance is the definition of a successful diet,
