Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast. Today I'm going to talk to you about

two different ways to get the biggest bang for your buck. I'm going to start with health first.

And this is, by a mile, by, why do people say a country mile? By a country mile. Anyway, by a really

long way. Like this is fundamentally the most important thing you can possibly do for your health.

And that is to consistently exercise.

It has the quickest and most potent impact on improving your health.

And so many people obsess over glucose levels, supplements, intermittent fasting, cortisol,

ultra-processed food, like the list goes on.

And yet so many of these people that are worried about that aren't actually consistently exercising.

Now, I'm not saying that diet isn't important, but when it comes to health,

exercise trumps it. Like, exercise is fundamental. This is one of the reasons I hate it when people are

like, oh yeah, it's 80% diet, 20% exercise. And like, no, it's absolutely not.

Maybe for fat loss, maybe, but it's certainly not for health.

And I think that stat annoys me even more because often people don't say for fat loss.

They're just like, oh, it's 80% diet, 20% exercise. And there's no kind of context to that.

And they're not like, I mean, I would say, yeah, it may be true for energy balance, probably not even for

fat loss. Like if you want to get lean, then if you just diet, you're not going to get lean.

You're going to get essentially skinny fat. You're going to lose a ton of lean

mass at the same time if you're not also exercising. So if you care about body composition and you

care about health, which you absolutely should, exercise is so fundamental. If you do, just one thing

for your health this year, start exercising.

And don't worry about it being optimal.
