This one is going to be all about PCOS because we work with a lot of women who have

PCOS and there are a few distinct reasons that having PCOS can make fat loss harder

and why people might need a bit more

support. So first of all, for those of you who don't know, PCOS stands for polycystic

ovary syndrome. It's the most common endocrine or endocrine, depending on where you're from,

disorder in women over a reproductive age, which is what Wikipedia told me.

That sounds like something I wouldn't normally say.

It is pretty common, and depending on the populations that you look at,

it can be up to 26% of the population, right?

So up to like a quarter of women, which is actually, you know, quite a lot. So, interestingly, you often see

more people with, it's even more common in athletes. And I always find this quite interesting.

One of the reasons for this is that you generally

have higher antigen levels, higher testosterone levels, and that potentially offers some kind

of advantage in sport. Now, more on the kind of negative side of having PCOS, symptoms include

things like irregular menstrual cycle, heavy periods, excess hair, acne,

pelvic pain, infertility issues.

Those are the most common ones off the top of my head.

And then they increase the risk of having type two diabetes

obesity um sleep apnea heart disease mood disorders and certain forms of cancer as well right so

there are quite a lot of negatives to it so how do we mitigate those by excellent coaching
