Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast. Today's topic is all about

0:07.0

overeating, specifically overeating in the evening and you're going to be left with some tips

0:12.9

to apply at the end if this is something that you struggle with. Now the reason that I wanted to do

0:17.6

a podcast specifically on this is because it's so, so common and so many

0:22.5

people struggle with it. And so many people feel alone about struggling with it. And I actually

0:29.0

think it's quite that notion of feeling alone. It's quite universal with overeating. Like all of

0:35.4

us do it. Some more than others and some are struggling with it more at the

0:38.8

moment than others. But we kind of assume that we're the only ones who are struggling with it

0:44.8

when we're in it. And the truth is most people eat too much from time to time. And usually

0:52.7

that happens in the evening, especially if it's something that you're

0:57.7

habitually doing. And the aim isn't to never overeat again. That's completely unrealistic.

1:05.3

The aim is to be in control of it and to eat more when you choose to eat more and actually enjoy that instead of

1:14.1

feeling guilty about it and then also realise that you will slip up from time to time and eat a little bit

1:19.2

more than you had planned to and you're human and you don't need to beat yourself up about that

1:24.7

and instead get yourself back on track.

1:34.9

And as you will see, don't massively over-restrict because that's likely going to get you into this cycle of then overeating again.

1:40.9

So last Monday, we had a group call for Commit to Six.

1:47.4

And these are freaking awesome, if I do say so myself, as it gives a space to discuss common problems. And what's really useful is that you find that a lot of other women

1:53.8

are struggling with the same things. And often they've got great tips and inputs as well as what

2:00.1

the coaches are saying. And I would say probably the most

2:03.2

valuable part is hearing from other people and in this example like on the commit six program

2:09.2

potentially hearing for people who are on committed which is our continuation program
