Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast, which is going to be all about

how to get in shape and stay in shape, most importantly, without resenting it.

So getting into shape, especially if you're a woman, is going to require a little bit of budgeting.

Now, as much as budgeting sounds boring and somewhat

unenjoyable, I quite like it as a way of framing, getting in shape and you're going to see why

during this episode and hopefully I'm going to convince you. So if we think about how we normally

think about budgeting, which is usually in terms of

finances, and then you question, okay, why do you actually budget? Usually it's so you can go

and do cool things, right? Or support your family or buy the things that you want to buy. In essence,

you do it so that you can do what you want. You don't

budget for a worse life, but you do understand that if you want the fancy house in five

years, then you might have to live in a smaller flat while you save up for it. Or if you want to go

on, or if you want to go to to an expensive restaurant on the weekend you are

going to have to save during the week and maybe maybe you do your weekly food shop at Liddle and

you don't eat out during the week right compromises so that you can do the thing that you actually

want to do now you can choose to see that as empowering or you can choose to feel hard done by and honestly that

choice will largely dictate your general mood and how much you enjoy your life and the same is true

for getting in shape and your calories you're budgeting for a better outcome so you can lose

fat, so you can feel better, so you can have more energy, so you can improve your health, so you

increase how confident you feel and how comfortable you are in your clothes. The budgeting might

sound boring, but the outcome is not. And we have to do it in all areas of our lives.

So you need to start framing it as like, I'm doing this because I want something better,
