Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness podcast. I hope that everyone's ready for a little bit of

0:07.8

tough love today and you can't hate me for this. I guess you can hate me for this, but it's actually

0:13.9

tough love to myself. Like I wrote this as a bit of a pep talk, but it helped me and this kind of messaging

0:20.1

helps me and it's probably what

0:21.2

motivates me most. So I hope that it's helpful to some people. And, you know, if it's not

0:27.6

helpful, then I'm sorry about that. But I have decided to show myself a little bit more. And I also realize not everyone's going to like that. So that's also

0:41.7

fine. Anyway, fact, average efforts will get you average results. And this is the question I like to

0:50.9

ask myself to kind of call myself out. Are you actually putting in

1:19.9

So what are the standards that you hold of yourself? Now, if you've just signed up to commit to six,

1:25.7

we will have set you minimum non-negotiables. I see these as the

1:29.6

standards that you hold of yourself. So like a minimum non-negotiable might be for me to get

1:34.2

8,000 steps. In fact, realistically it's 10,000. But that's the standard that I hold on myself.

1:39.7

Now, good example of this. Last week, we had some horrendous storm here so i just ended up like walking around

1:47.0

the flat a little bit to get my steps in and like made sure that i did it anyway even though it was

1:52.2

like i mean i guess i could have gone outside but it was pretty horrible but that's a hard

1:59.0

standard that i hold of myself now normally, normally I'm way above that.

2:02.2

This is the point of like minimum standards, minimum non-negotiables, but you won't let yourself

2:07.5

drop below that. And back to that quote, because I freaking love it. Exceptional outcomes are
