Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness podcast, which is going to be all about

check-ins because it is by far one of, if not the most important part of coaching, in my opinion,

which I think, again, is probably the right opinion. Anyway, to prove it, I thought that I would go through a

check-in that I had with a one-to-one because it brought up some excellent points. And I thought, hey,

maybe people will benefit from this. And one thing I wanted to know, and this is what kind of made me

think it would be good to share is that at the end she wrote,

I thought this check-in would be bollocks, but it's actually kind of doing something for me,

I think, which, I mean, for a first check-in is something, right?

But I think most people think it might be bollocks.

They might not say it in exactly those words. But I think a lot of people

like, well, you know, what's the point in checking in? That's where we get to make changes.

Like, coach is good. I'm a pretty good coach, but I'm not a mind reader. And I think anyone I've

worked with who hasn't got the most out of online coaching, it's been because they don't check in or because

they don't check in with enough information, they don't sit down and actually review their week.

And I also wanted to take this time to reiterate how important that is from a client perspective.

Like I ask for one thing from clients and that's that they check in and that they reach out if they need help. Otherwise, how am I meant to know? Like I said, not a mind reader.

And just to emphasize that, like anyone I've not got results with, that's always been the reason

is that they stop checking it. Or with group coaching especially with commit to six

the people that don't get the most out of the program and the people that don't do the check-ins

i don't think i've ever had someone do all the check-ins come to all the group calls and be like

no i didn't get anything from it never but it's the people that, oh, I didn't do anything and then shockingly,

I didn't get any results. Yeah, there will be work on your part as well. And a huge part of that
