Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness podcast. I hope everyone's having a lovely day.

0:07.9

I have had a lovely weekend. This is Sunday when I'm recording this. Not sure where anyone

0:12.5

needs to know this. But today's episode is all about not wanting to track calories or basically

0:20.2

not needing to track calories. And I'm going to go through

0:24.2

a few different things in this episode, but primarily I'm going to focus on how you can lose fat or

0:31.2

maintain your current shape, stay in shape, without having to track calories. And tracking calories seems to be

0:41.3

the go-to for fat loss nowadays. It's almost like rare within at least like the evidence-based

0:47.9

echo chamber that someone would lose fat without tracking. And it's a great choice for some and it's

1:20.6

Like I find it a bit tedious. I don't want to do it. I'm not motivated to do it. So I don't like

1:25.4

doing it that way. And then when you add to this, the

1:29.0

inaccuracies of tracking and then the fact that when people become quite obsessed with the numbers,

1:35.7

they start stressing it out over 100 calories here and there. And at best, this is just a bit

1:41.3

silly because of how inaccurate tracking calories is.

1:47.5

And then at worst, it can completely ruin your diet.

1:52.6

Like the amount of diets that are ruined because someone's gone over their calories by 100 and they think that they've ruined everything and then they give up.

1:56.6

When in reality, they're still in a deficit and they're still losing body fat.
