Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness podcast.

Anyway, I have quite a lot to talk about today, and this just started as like one little sort

but big bold statement we have been focusing on the wrong thing when it comes to fat loss

and the thing we should have been focusing on is

calories. No, I'm joking. I talk quite a lot about, in general, but also about people who know what to do,

but they aren't doing it. And if you don't know what to do, that part is quite an easy fix. It is rarely ever the real problem.

Most people know what to do to lose weight. You need to eat less and move more. We just tend to

overcomplicate it because it's way harder than it sounds. Like that sounds easy, but when you

try and apply it, it's really hard.

And the truth is, it is simple, but it's not easy. And many people get those two things confused.

Like, it can't possibly be that simple because I find it so hard. Well, no, no, no, it is simple. It's just not easy.

And that is where I think a lot of people overcomplicate

things because of that thought process. So really, if we take that into consideration, the question is,

how do we help people stick to the behaviours that we know will result in fat loss and an

improved health? And this is the question that I don't think

we ask enough because we're too focused on the minutia. Like, oh, maybe your calorie target

with 100 calories too much or too low. Like it makes no difference whatsoever. The fundamental is, and this is the bit that like got in my head the other day
