episode. Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness podcast, which is all about

non-scale weight victories because most of us pay way too much attention to the scales as the main and sometimes

only marker of progress, which it shouldn't be and it's not, but is one of the easiest measures

to quantify, which is probably why, or at least one of the reasons why so many people get so fixated on it.

And your goal is rarely weight loss. And it may be fat loss, but even then, it's usually a

little deeper than that. It's actually more about how you think that you will look, feel and

perform at a given body size or weight. Like when you really question,

why do I want to lose body fat? It's not just randomly to lose body fat. It's because you expect

in some way your life to be better when you lose body fat. Now you have to define in which way

because often you're getting those results without the fat loss or more to the point

without the scale weight loss that you're fixated on and telling yourself you're failing because of

and then this turns into this horrible cycle of giving up too soon even though you actually are getting

results. Sometimes the reason that you want to lose weight and weight loss are actually completely unrelated.
