Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast. I am sorry in advance if there is a little

0:08.0

bit of background noise. I'm going to fill you in on where I am. I'm in kind of the attic area

0:15.5

of our Airbnb in Lisbon. It's half 11 and it is quite loud, mainly because some people have

0:25.4

lives and actually go out at night. But I've just been earlier on a lovely sunset tour of

0:36.6

Lisbon, which was incredible, but it did mean that I didn't have time to do this episode.

0:41.3

And I had told myself that I would do this episode today.

0:45.3

And I'm not one to, you know, break a promise to myself.

1:37.7

So it will happen. And successful fat loss, in fact, success in almost the pursuit of any goal isn't about being perfect. It's about

1:47.6

how you respond when things don't go perfectly. And this sometimes seems to people like quite a

1:56.7

surprising tip for successful fat loss, but forgive yourself. Go a little bit easier on yourself

2:03.6

in some respects. Like instead of holding yourself to be perfect all the time, which is impossible,

2:09.6

hold yourself to responding in the way that you want to respond when you slip up, because it will happen.

2:16.6

And I completely resonate with the mindset of well if I do that

2:21.1

then I'll just let my slip up myself slip up all the time and then I won't get anywhere because I was

2:26.7

definitely in this mindset I was like if isn't that just lowering your standards like doesn't that
