I'm doing a solo podcast because I have quite a lot to say and didn't want to talk over Andy.

So I wanted to talk about New Year's resolutions, although I'm not going to have any New Year's resolutions, and I don't tend to set them.

And that is because I'm a doer, and I change things when they need to be done.

And like all of my clients, most of whom hopefully will be listening to this, I self-assess on a weekly basis.

So when things need to change, I action it rather than waiting for a new year or even for a new

week. However, saying that, I do think this time of year is a really good time to reflect on your

year, see what you've done well, see what

you could improve on, and see what goals you have for next year. And I think there's an important

distinction between resolutions and goals. Usually, a New Year's resolution is something that

you want to change about yourself. And a goal is something that you want to achieve.

And I think that resolutions have this sort of negative connotation,

oh, I'm overweight and I want to lose weight, I want to change that about myself.

Whereas a goal of maybe running a marathon,

or even if it's a weight loss goal,

it's something positive that's going to positively impact your life, or your business or your career or any kind of personal development.
