Hi, everybody, and welcome to episode number 400. Oh my goodness. This feels like a huge milestone.

And I am so excited to be on episode 400. I'm so excited to see what the next 400 episodes bring.

And this week, I'm going to be sharing behind the scenes of my year-long

2022 project, which for those of y'all who are listening to the recording, when this

episode publishes, you will already know that this project is called my year of no. And I want to

note that this episode is being

recorded live on Tuesday, December 14th in front of a Zoom audience. So at some point, I would

love to do a live recording at like this cool comedy club that we find somewhere amazing that's

like dark and there's a stage. But for now, given resources and restrictions currently, we are doing this via Zoom.

This episode is also a special one because it is airing on my five-year anniversary of quitting

drinking, which when I was considering what to do for episode 400, and I looked at the schedule and I was thinking

about the start of the year. It was this beautiful convergence of all of these really meaningful

pieces coming together. And I'm going to talk later on about why to the sobriety anniversary

is so special. But I will just also note out loud that five years ago, five years and three days ago,

if someone had told me that I was going to quit drinking and be excited about sobriety and not only do that,

but like quit drinking forever and would be with episode 400 of the podcast celebrating my five
