annoys me quite a lot and that is the life advice that we should just trust our gut or go with our

instincts or like you'll be able to feel what's right. quite a lot and that is the life advice that we should just trust our gut or go with our instincts

or like you'll be able to feel what's right. So we're often told that good advice is to just

like follow your heart, go with your gut, trust your insect. Insects? Trust your instincts.

And I think that that is absolutely awful advice. And in this

podcast, I am going to explain why. And the primary reason why, and by the way, this will

relate to fat loss and will be useful. So keep listening, keep listening. But to start with,

we are not rational and logical beings. We don't make decisions

based on logic. We let our emotions, we let previous experiences, we use mental shortcuts,

otherwise known as heuristics. All of these things get in the way. We're exposed to huge amounts of biases.

Really good one to think about is the survivorship bias,
