Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness podcast.

and I really want people to listen to this before they begin their diet at the start of January.

You might not realise this, but your over-restrictive diet is the easy option.

And you know this deep down because you've done it before.

You've probably done it every year for the past few years.

And it looks something like cutting out the foods that you enjoy,

avoiding alcohol, missing social occasions, over-exercising, trying to survive on as little

calories as possible. And these might seem like good ideas and a bit of hard work and a bit of commitment and really, I guess, yeah, really

committing to the diet and taking it seriously and giving it your all. But these are all ways to

avoid the work that you really need to do to get results. And that work, my friends, is very unsexy.'s called moderation it's on moderation that's the work

that you really need to do and moderation is hard and I completely understand why restriction is

way more tempting the moderation like it's actually pretty easy to restrict yourself. It's pretty easy to say no.

And you don't really need to learn anything.

You don't need to learn anything about your own behaviours.

Like it's a very simple rule.

And it's easy to kind of bullshit yourself and just say that it's just what you need to do at the moment.

And it's especially tempting after Christmas when most of us have overeaten over the past couple of weeks.
