Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast. I hope everyone is very well.

0:07.9

I have some thoughts today. I've been thinking a lot about patience and impatience.

0:12.7

And my conclusion or my thoughts about this are, you don't need patience. I used to talk a lot about

0:21.6

impatience and you'll see what I mean. It's just a little bit of a reframe. You know how I love

0:26.5

the reframe. But you don't need patience. You just need to stop waiting. And I'm not really talking

0:32.8

about, like, you just need to take action. What you need to do is stop telling yourself that you're

0:38.1

that you're waiting for something so i guess the odd thing about impatience is like

0:43.9

you're only impatient because you're telling yourself that you're waiting for something and one

0:48.1

of the problems with dieting is that people do wait as in they put their lives on hold while they diet or they avoid

0:56.3

social occasions while they diet. They tell themselves that they'll be happy when they reach

1:00.7

X goal and there's an end point and you're waiting for that end point to then start living

1:05.8

your life or continue living your life and it's like it's on pause. That's why people struggle

1:10.8

with impatience and that's why people struggle with impatience

1:11.5

and that's why people struggle with waiting to get results because they are waiting.

1:15.7

The best way to think about waiting for anything is that you're not waiting, you're living.

1:21.6

The time is going to pass anyway and you may as well be getting closer to your goals,

1:25.8

but you're not waiting for anything. How long it

1:27.9

takes is basically irrelevant. And even ask yourself this, like, if it's going to take twice as long,

1:35.1

does that mean you're not going to do it? And everyone wants to know how long is it going to take,

1:41.4

but does that actually really matter? If you were told, it's going to

1:45.5

take twice as long as you think, would you rather then stay where you are? If I was like, it's going to

1:49.7

take you twice as long to reach the physique goals that you want, would you be like, okay, well,
