Many people find this time of year difficult, with many social occasions revolving around food & alcohol, we can often stop ourselves from enjoying the moment.
So I am here to remind you; It is ok for you to take a step back this Christmas, enjoy all of the food, the drinks and this special time with your family & friends.

| 0:21.6 | So let me like ease into it. I'm going to try and keep it short and sweet today because it's the first episode. So I thought, you know, it's Christmas time. People aren't going out for long walks anymore. It's too cold, so I was like, I'll keep it short and sweet. |
| 0:35.7 | I mean, I always intend to keep it short and |
| 0:37.7 | sweet and then here I am like an hour into a podcast but anyway I try to keep it short and sweet |
| 0:42.7 | so I'm currently in ballet at this moment in time we're staying here for Christmas which I don't know |
| 0:49.5 | I'm kind of sad about as well because we were we are we had booked the flights home and we booked a return |
| 0:54.7 | flight and we were going to go home for Christmas given that there was no quarantine on the |

| 1:21.9 | everywhere like i'm literally there's i can't even describe how much it's all over my face. But, um, so yeah, that's just like my little life update. Um, not that you asked, but, um, you know what? I toyed with the day today, like what we're going to talk about. I think I was going to talk about identity and like how to change your identity. But then I was just like reading through and my articles that I had written, |
| 1:44.4 | I just felt this was a really important article, especially this time of year, Christmas time, |
| 1:49.3 | when we are eating a little bit more, we're a little bit more insecure about our bodies. And, |
| 1:53.9 | you know, we, yeah, so I thought this was a great opportunity to talk about the way we talk about |
| 2:00.3 | other people and the way we talk about |
| 2:02.0 | ourselves. So I did write a few emails and articles on this before and it was really sparked by |
| 2:09.0 | what trolls and stuff were saying to me about like, you know, how I looked or how my friends |
| 2:13.7 | looked or anything like that. And it was really sparked because I was just like, how is this |
| 2:16.9 | normal? So yeah, like some of the things that, you know, you read on your friends, Instagrams or, you know, any bloggers, something like that, obviously they're a bit more prone because they've got a bigger audience, you know, you know, things like, oh, I don't like her lips or she's too pale though, isn't she? You know, you know things that let people say in passing, You know, oh my God, did you see her outfit? What about her handbag? Oh my God, no. All right. So there's things like that, like, you know, oh my God, who's think she's got such a flat ass? But she's too bulky or she's too skinny. Oh my God. Like, have you seen her eyeliner? And, you know, oh, he's too good for her. You know, |
