I've been trying to figure this out, but my laptop's making a very loud noise, I think,

because it was outside and it might have got a little bit hot.

Well, when I listen back, I can hear it because the computer is still making the same noise.

Anyway, what I always talk about today is happiness.

Actually, a lot of things, but I'm just going to start

with this because it's been on my mind. So I often think about happiness and what makes people happy.

And also how awful and quite annoying, I find the advice of, just do what makes you happy.

It doesn't matter. Just do what makes you happy it doesn't matter just do what makes you

happy because most people don't know what makes them happy and realistically if they did they probably

would be doing it I mean that's a whole another thing but I think the main issue with that advice is

if I knew what was going to make me happy, I would already be doing it.

And I went into a bit of a hole yesterday with this and my conclusion was that your purpose and most

likely your drive, your passion and ultimately your happiness lies in figuring out what you can do for others

rather than what you can do for yourself. So again, one of the reasons I think, just do what makes

you happy is particularly unuseful advice if you're searching for true happiness. And then I discussed this with the meal and he pointed out that that is very much how I am

driven and how I see things.

And it's quite a big assumption that that's how everyone is driven and everyone sees things,
