Hello and welcome to this episode of the ESG Fitness Podcast.

I hope this goes well because I've been up since five. It's now only five. So it's not

0:12.9

actually that long, but I'm feeling it today. I started getting up earlier and earlier to get

0:18.9

more and more done and I think sometimes, sometimes you have to accept that there is just a finite amount of energy

0:27.0

that you have to do stuff during the day,

0:29.0

like, and maybe it actually wasn't a time restraint as much as just literally don't have any more brain power to do anything.

1:41.3

and there is simply no getting around that. So telling people that it will just become a habit and it will become effortless isn't particularly useful and i don't know if that contributes somewhat to why maintenance is so hard because there's this expectation that it should be easy.

2:04.0

So my point here is that I feel many people have been fed a bit of a lie with the promise of habits.

2:16.0

And a lot of us in fitness promote the key to maintaining results as forming

2:21.7

these habits and it's become almost like the whole the holy grail is being able to create

2:30.8

maintain these habits and you just need to turn going into the gym and eating healthy into a habit.
