Indulge me. Oh! Hey! Boom, boom, there you go. See what you did there. It comes from like a religious practice where you could buy an indulgence, which was

essentially like if you'd sinned, you could, I think it was like the catholic church you could go to

the church buy an indulgence which is basically paying for your sin and it'll be wiped away

i was thinking about it because you know we always talk about always sometimes when we speak about

food we'll say like choose your indulgences or we say something is an indulgence because it's like a

quote-unquote treat

but there's already that connotation with morality of your food choices oh you should you should have to

pay for this treat by buying an indulgence effectively like that's where it comes from it's all

religion's fault well i thought that was. I love knowing where words come from.
