Hello hello hello how are you?

Before I get into today's episode, a quick heads up. You might hear a little bit of

banging and drilling. It is not from us. It is from our neighbors. And unfortunately, I just can't get rid of the sound our neighbors actually sold off part of their

back garden and the house has been built at the back and the builders have turned up after about two weeks

have been missing and so it's been

drilling and banging and goodness knows what else but anyway let's get on to

today's topic so for a while now I have wanted to talk about setting people up on dates, you know,

matchmaking, being set up, and in a wider sense, recommendations.

Now, it would be all too easy to assume that this doesn't apply

because you know, you never set anybody up

or because you're really really good at it or because you're not

single so you're not going to have to deal with anybody you know matchmaking with you but

actually recommendations is something that we all experience

either being recommended or recommending people. So we all experience that in the wider

sense and I think most of us probably have some level of experience

of when things seem to go awry,

or where we feel awkward or embarrassed about something

that happened with somebody who we recommended.

And of course, you know, when it comes to something like setting people up on dates,

you know, or being set up, actually, yeah, that is a recommendation as well now as I said I've

been thinking about this for a few months but what actually prompted me to want to
