Summary

Let go of the weight of a bad mood through this guided meditation, as you focus on liberating yourself from negative energy and replenishing with positive vibrations.

This week, we launch into a series designed to help you release the grip of your worst moods. Each day, you'll be guided with meditation techniques to allow you to let go of negative thoughts.

This is part 6 of a 7-part meditation series titled Release a Bad Mood, 1150-1156.

THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE:

This week, take part in a daily "Mid-Day Mood Check": Mid-day, pause and assess your mood. Notice if you're experiencing any self-doubt, fear, anxiety, or any other emotion that spirals your thoughts downwards. Notice the triggers that contribute to your mood fluctuations.

A DIFFERENT MEDITATION TECHNIQUE EVERY DAY FOCUSED ON A WEEKLY THEME:

You are guided with a different meditation technique every day that is customized for the week's theme. Weave the techniques into the most stressful times of your day to manage difficult emotions. The meditation techniques help to calm the "monkey mind," when your thoughts continuously interrupt your meditation.

This is episode 1,155. Welcome to the Daily Meditation Podcast. And I honor you for being

0:13.2

right where you are. As you get ready to meditate, and we continue along with this week's

0:23.1

series on how to snap out of a bad mood. And if you're just joining us, you are in the

0:33.4

right place because these episodes follow a theme. We focus on a particular theme each week,

0:41.3

experimenting with different meditation techniques every single day. But the episodes don't

0:48.6

necessarily follow any sequence. So if you are just joining us, or you've been with us

0:56.8

throughout the entire week, it's all good. I'm Mary Mechley, and I share a different meditation

1:04.5

technique every day here on the podcast. And as I mentioned, our theme is how to snap out of your

1:14.0

bad mood. In today's episode, you're going to explore a meditation technique you can easily do

1:23.3

to help you become more mindful. As you notice, your emotions begin to spiral downward into a bad

1:36.5

mood. And you're also going to discover an herb that may benefit you. Now, as always, you want to

1:46.5

check with your physician before you take any herb, especially if you take other medications or

1:53.2

you're pregnant or breastfeeding. You just want to make sure that the herb is the right herb for you.

2:00.3

Don't be afraid of the herbs. Just take caution as you try them. I've had reactions such as a

2:08.9

stomach ache from sipping chamomile, which is a pretty tame herb. Well, I'll share with you an herb

2:17.4

that can help you as you reduce tension brought on by a bad mood. But let's start with the herb

2:27.1

rodeola. This may be an herb that's new to you. This is an herb that is an adaptogenic herb.

2:38.6

And what adaptogenic means is that the herb adapts to give you the support you need.

2:49.6

So as you manage tension and stress from your mood spiraling downward,

2:58.5

rodeola rosaia can help you to balance your mind body connection. And so what it does essentially

3:10.9

is to help you manage mood swings. So as you go throughout the week and explore the series,

3:21.7

this is another way you could support yourself. And it's kind of fun to try new herbs. In fact,
