0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to another episode of Time to Drive. |
0:05.0 | So I'm leaving my garage. |
0:07.0 | So that means it's time to start another show. |
0:10.0 | This week I thought I would talk about Zendikar. |
0:14.0 | Originally I was thinking maybe I would go in chronological order and then it dawned me it's more fun to hop around. |
0:19.0 | So today I'm going to talk |
0:21.3 | about one of my favorite sets, although I have a lot of favorite sets. But, uh, so Zendikar, |
0:26.3 | where do I start? So I've talked about this a little bit about how, um, I had this idea |
0:31.7 | for a plot, for a block, uh, basically what I wanted to do was I wanted to make use of some mechanics that I thought, well, let me back up a little bit. |

1:07.4 | what my vision is, where am I going? |
1:09.1 | Because once upon a time, if we go back to |
1:11.5 | like Odyssey, I had this awesome idea of, oh, why do we change things up and not use the normal |
1:17.6 | creature types and just make things a little different to give, you know, a little breathing |
1:21.0 | space and try out some creature types that don't normally get a chance to see the light. |
1:25.3 | And then next set was Onslaught, but we hadn't planned out that Onslaught was a tribal slot. |
1:30.3 | So by the time we got to the set all about tribes, you looked at the previous set, and like, oh, none of the tribes you want are there. |
1:35.3 | And that's when we realized, okay, we've got to plan ahead. |
1:37.3 | We've got to think about where we're going and avoid that sort of problem where the set before isn't probably setting up the set after it. |
