I can be in the most amazing, loving relationship but I never loved myself. I never knew how to love myself.

I thought that money was always a way to make people love me or I thought that, you know,

humour, let's all laugh and you're all love me. You know, I've used all of those tools and now by writing this I don't have to use them as tools.

Tony was once an notoriously hedonistic DJ but has now been sober for 15 years. His memoir I don't take requests

covers everything from growing up on a London Councillor's State to the club scene of the 80s and 90s to his HIV diagnosis and going to rehab.

It's honestly one of the most phenomenal books I have ever read. I've been telling absolutely everyone about it so it was just the biggest privilege to be able to sit with Tony as he retold some of the stories from his difficult past.

I have to say, recording this episode with all of you, our Happy Place Festival felt particularly special.

We were all just so wrapped up in Tony's story that you could genuinely hear a pin drop in the tent. We were hanging off Tony's every word.

There was something really powerful about that silence.
